Lucie Hendry is a lever harpist from Aberdeenshire, whose music bridges the rich traditions of Scottish folk with the innovative sounds of the Nordic music scene. Drawing inspiration from her folk roots, the natural world, and a broad spectrum of music genres, Lucie crafts a sound that is both refreshing and evocative.
Lucie leads a dynamic trio featuring Scottish guitarist Chris Amer and Danish drummer Christoffer Skovhus. Together, they combine their distinctive styles with Lucie's original compositions, creating a captivating blend of tradition and modernity.
In 2023, Lucie released her debut solo album, Land of Eden, leading to performances at venues and festivals across Scotland and Denmark. This autumn, she will embark on a nationwide tour to celebrate the release of her highly anticipated second album, Ashes to Art.
With a growing reputation in the global harp community, Lucie was a finalist in BBC Radio Scotland's Young Traditional Musician of the Year 2021, and was nominated for ‘Up and Coming Artist of the Year’ at the 2023 Scots Trad Music Awards. Her innovative approach to the lever harp and commitment to cross-cultural collaboration have established her as a unique voice on the international music scene.
